Monarch butterfly host plant records (plex-host-db)

This is a dataset that I have been curating since 2022. It is based on observations of monarch butterfly larvae posted to the community science platform iNaturalist. I have manually annotated over 38,000 of these records with information about the identity of the milkweed host plant present in the image. A link to the data associated with this project is available here, along with metadata. A preprint associated with this project is available here. The database will be periodically updated but contains an archived version corresponding to the dataset used in the manuscript.
